Alexandros Vardaxoglou is a dancer, choreographer and actor. He is a graduate of the ‘Modern Times’ School of Drama and the State School of Orchestral Art and holds an MA in Acting from RADA (the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London).
He has collaborated with various dance groups and choreographers both in Greece and abroad, such as Antonis Foniadakis, Marianna Kavallieratou, Johannes Wieland, Christos Papadopoulos and Foofwa d'Imobilité, among others.
As an actor, he has worked mainly in cinema, alongside directors such as Giorgos Zois, Thanos Anastopoulos, Christos Passalis, etc. He received the best debut actor award at the 22nd Athens International Film Festival "Premiere Nights" for his leading role in Yorgos Zois major feature film "Interruption" that was also screened at the 72nd Venice Film Festival.
As a choreographer, he co-created "Vanishing Point" in collaboration with the dancer & choreographer Dafni Antoniadou and the artist Constantine Skourlis, for the 7th Festival of Young Choreographers of the Onassis Foundation.
He also worked as a kinesiologist for the film "Brutalia, Working Days" by Manolis Mavris, which was awarded the Canal+ Award for Best Short Film at the 74th Cannes Film Festival, as well as for various productions of the National Theatre of Greece.
